Cleanliness --- A Tool To Gain Respect !!!!!

Talking about cleanliness is more like talking about your soul, your unstated thought, need and an undermined expectations. We all expect our society to be cleanest but when it comes to sharing of responsibilities then we all expect a leader to be born in our neighborhood. You talk about any great personalities and you would find cleanliness common among almost all of them. Some had expressed their feelings for the society to be clean, some had made cleanliness a way of living a respectable life.

When Mr. PM pitched to the people of the nation to not only aspire but to get engaged towards this national cause, very few could understand the notion. But when he himself pulled the broom, the nation followed. People started pouring in ideas to keep India Clean. Some ideas were so innovative that the whole world followed and some were shared with experience. We literally saw people participating, and thanks to media as it was not possible to take it to every corner of the country without their contributions.

But how could cleanliness earn you respect ? Let me share a live example from my surrounding which I noticed while i was standing in my balcony. There were two people who used to come and pick the garbage every day from the surrounding. One of them named (Rehaan) a Bangladeshi from his origin used to come wearing a tattered clothes and dust all over his body with sleepers which was rubbed off completely. I knew his name because one day when he came to pick the garbage i had asked his name and my landlord had told me that they are Bangladeshi's. Now there was another guy named ( Pintu) who used to come with clothes all clean wearing sports shoes and a watch, not so expensive but a good looking one.

The impression they both left on the society was just opposite to each other, i never saw or heard people calling (Rehaan) either by his name or 'Bhai' or 'Beta' or 'Bhaiya' etc instead people used to say 'Oye' or 'Arre' or 'Oye Ladke' etc where as in (Pintu's) case it was just opposite, i never saw or heard people calling 'Arre' or 'Oye' or 'Oye Ladke' etc instead they used to call him either by his name or 'Bhaiya' or 'Beta' or 'Bhai Saab' respectfully without even looking at the job he was doing. We as a nation still lacks the will to accept the respect for a job no matter what but i am happy to see and say that being a human we respect cleanliness. It's a human tendency to respect something you like. We as a nation still have to go miles to achieve a clean society with respect as its bi-product.
