Playground - A Disguised Extinction !

Ever thought of an instinct which is dying in humans more rapidly than that of tigers in the world ? Yes, i am talking about none other than the sportsmanship. Well, to develop that sportsmanship you need to be involved with something more of a physical in nature, i guess. Off course it can be mental as well but can not be expected in kids all the time. So where do we learn that sportsmanship ? Is it in our homes ? May be a bit - I assume. Is it on ground / playground- mostly ! is what i have observed. Is it easy to find a playground nearby ? This is a question which would perplex everyone. I still remember the days when i was a kid, probably in my teens or preteens, we had enough space were in we could have played in and around the vicinity. But today can you really think of a play ground even 2-3 km near your house ? I doubt. We are all so concerned about the apathy of tigers, lions and animals and other flora and faunas, which is good, no offence to anyone but at the same time are we not ignoring the generation to come or I should say, are we not being biased towards them ? and then we crib that my child is stuck to the phones or video-games all the time. i mean, are they to be blamed really ? We can open fitness centers and hospitals, we are anyways doing it like never before but have we been able to tackle any epidemic or for that matter have we been able to meet the numbers yet ? i am sure, we haven't. in fact not even the world would be able to do this, not even the greatest of the great nations ! We are more concerned about the aftermath but to cure the disease we should rather focus on symptoms. I would have to say this that we are a very lucky generation that we got to see and experience a lot but can the generation after us say the same ?, I doubt.

Sports can be a solution to many menace in our society which includes health, crime, social responsibility, and economics too if guided and fueled properly. India as a nation has highest number of sugar patients and probably in blood pressure as well. Wherein an study says that only 20 minutes of sports (particularly outdoor) daily can keep you away from all the minor and major diseases which includes hypertension as well.

In the words of the great sage of Bharat :-Vivekananda -

We must have noticed around us that the parents are complaining of their kids being too straightforward or probably do not like to share things with anyone or probably they get bored n they keep on asking for or looking for something adventurous. My advice to them is give them a ball and ask them to go n play with kids of their age. If possible, accompany them because nothing is more adventurous than the sport itself. Sports is the biggest adventure you can ever imagine. In today's world only an strong nation can think of becoming a super power. A nation with suffering n lethargic attitude would only stoop low and would be low in confidence as well.

One wish, if reaches the government of the day then I would request the government to issue a notification that all the government and private schools who were given the land at a very economical rates would have to make their ground spaces open to public use, but yes, only after the school time. This would not only help in grooming of kids in the locality but would also engage them upkeep and maintain the ground responsibly.

I also wish, the government of the day would rectify the mistakes of the governments of the past and give the same priority to the playground as it gives to hospitals if i may say so. It would not only help us fetch more medals and world cups but would also bless us with real world cups i.e. A healthy, strong and bright generation and Nation.

Fusion of Religion = Bharat (India)

Yet again a new travel with new experience. India, "our motherland" is known for her diversity. What amuses me about our motherland is the fact that we have the maximum diversity with almost everything be it Religion, caste, creed, Language, Attire, Scholars, Science, Scriptures, Food, Living Style, Seasons, Mountains, Education and what not, yet we hardly see any social conflict except the political one which is off course planted in our society to get the advantage probably in elections. On an average at every 10 km we see a change in language and life style of people such is the diversity of this land yet there is one flag i.e. Our Tricolor which bleeds in the heart of every Indian, One Song "Vande Matram" which, when played breaks all the string of being satisfied and re-enforce a centripetal force to work tirelessly and un-deterred of anything. One anthem "Jan Gan Man" which sow the pride of being unique and united. There is so much to say that the whole book would be nothing but just a nutshell. I am going to tell you yet another experience.

Very recently i happened to visit Bangalore for some work along with my father. Though I decided to stay at my friends house but my father had a different plan and he choose to stay at a relatives house which I often ignore but couldn't do much and followed him. To my surprise they were very welcoming and very receptive and really treated us as the real brand ambassador of "Atithi Devo Bhava" :). This was the place were we stayed however to reach there From the airport was very tough task especially when you take a bus and you know nothing about the city. The area where we stayed was near HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics LTD) training school. We could easily hear the sound of helicopters the whole day. The flat where they lived in was at the first floor and on the ground floor was a local water supplying unit named "Sangam". People knew him by Sangam Waters. At night just after having dinner i along with my father were chit chatting with our relatives. Somehow the topic of travel dropped in, and while climbing the stairs i had noticed two mullah ji filling up and arranging the water gallons. I asked my cousin if these mullah ji's are working there ?

Cousin - no, they are the owner of this water plant.
Me - then how come the name is "Sangam" i mean that's very Unheard of and specially with a Muslim family.
Cousin - well, I never thought about it but it really is a very good thing.
Me - Indeed, but there should be something behind it, not any n everyone will do it. Anyways, i am tired and i am going to sleep now. I wished good night to everyone and went to bed. I still had this notion that being a Muslim he could have chosen more "Secular" name than "Sangam" if i may say so, specially after having to hear so much of hue n cry over secularism in the news hours. Or may be the second thought was, he may have tried to target the local population which was largely Hindus. There was several unanswered questions which was troubling me in bed but then I thought that any which ways it's not going to be answered today so better sleep.

Next day :

To say I woke up with the first light of the day would be too much to say, so, I woke up at around 7 am and after doing all the morning activities including my breakfast at around 10:30 am, i came downstairs to check for mullah ji. There we go, he was sitting at the cash counter and was busy counting them.

Nameste Uncle - I initiated the conversation.
Uncle - Nameste ! With little local accent.
Me - i have come here for few days.
Uncle - oh okay, Singh Sahab ke ghar, right ?
Yes uncle - i said.
Uncle - pls come inside, have a seat while he pulled one chair for me.
Thank you uncle - i said while i took the chair and made myself ease out.
Uncle - first time in Bangalore ?
Me - yea uncle.
Uncle - good, must enjoy the place, there are a lot to watch out for !
Me - oh yes, i am sure !! , probably by evening we will be going out.
Uncle - good, he also told about certain places which were very famous.
Me - it's been how long since you are into this profession uncle ?
Uncle - beta, it's been almost 5 years since i have started this.
Me - well that's great, seems like a good deal. And moreover it would also be keeping you on your toes all the time.
Uncle - oh yes, too much of work but i am quite used to it now. I don't like anything else now and it also soothes you when you feed someone that too with water.
Me - indeed uncle, what can be better for a thirsty than the water. Well if you don't mind uncle, can i ask you something?
Uncle - oh, not at all, please go ahead.
Me - please don't mind but how come you got this name "SANGAM" waters for your business i mean usually being a Muslim, people  could have chosen more of a Muslim name Than going for this name.
Uncle - no son, it's nothing to feel bad about, it's the irony of being subjugated to the external forces that people are bound to use the names of Arabs or for that matter other Muslim nations. We are Indians and only an Indian name should be propagated and more over I don't want to commit the mistakes done by my ancestors. And this name SANGAM shows the enriched culture of Our country.
mistakes as in, i mean what is in the name ? - I asked.
Uncle - name is everything, it can do wonders to you. When your name resonates in your mind and soul it makes you do great things but only when you have a meaningful name.
Me - hmmm, you are right uncle.
Uncle - you name someone Tobu, Lolu , Molu they would be like one and would become a bunch of idiots because they won't have anything to feel proud about.

Me - Tobu, Molu hahahahha we both broke into laughter.

Uncle - that's why I choose "Sangam" for my business because it resonates the enriched culture of "Bharat" again Bharat and not India.

Me - Bharat and not India ? What do you mean by that ? It's the same country with two names ?
Uncle - No, Beta, India is a name which doesn't have any meaning but Bharat carries a beautiful meaning And connotations. Go back to our culture and you would never find anything meaningless. India is a name which is given to us by English people.

Me - wow ! Uncle you should be a teacher in a university or something, you know a lot, m sure not even my teachers in schools had this knowledge.

Uncle - in very humble tone - not much beta just a little but i try not to forget my roots.

Me - exactly uncle, meanwhile papa called me upstairs to have lunch, I thanked uncle for this lovely conversation and promised to meet him before leaving Bangalore.

Learning - next on wards I would be more thoughtful while giving names as it helps us make the society we want for ourselves and would request you all to have a thought over it.

Nameste 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Love With A Transgender !!!!!

"Transgender" - people with different ability with usually a modified skill set to suit and earn in and from the society respectively. They are the people who are as good as most of us are but they are bound to or forced to get into the profession which is not respected in any world, not even their own for that matter. Possibly this could be the only reason why many NGO's are still fighting for the right to equality for transgender in our society. But can this really happen? Or should I say? Aren't these NGO’s too optimistic about it. We could not establish equality even for our women in our society, women who are Mother, Sister, Wives and what not and we are fighting for transgender!!!! But as long as there is will I am sure there will be a way too.

I thought, I would also write them as transgender in this blog but then I realized that unless I change my opinion I can't change yours. So let's call them ladies so as to maintain equality at least here if not in the country and also I cannot think of something better than this. So, what is this all about?

Here we go: - again it happened to be a story which was told to me by a stranger becoming a friend for a train journey. I was traveling to my home town from Rajdhani express luckily with a confirmed ticket. I got an upper birth and since it was just 4pm I could not think of sleeping which is often a favorite time pass while travelling. I sat on one side of a side lower birth, enjoying the view out of the window. In front of me was a guy wearing blue check shirt with specs on his face and a little healthy build but always smiling. In Fact he was the one who initiated the conversation.
Where are you traveling to? - He asked me.
Hummm, Patna - I said.
Well, good that I got a companion, while extending his hand, Rohan - he said
Abhishek, i said - while we shook hands.

Wow!! Good at least I got a company- he said.
Indeed - I said.
What else, just after a while we were like best buddies, sharing snacks, cold drinks and pondering over politics, Bollywood, cricket and god knows what not !!!!
Suddenly he asked me - are you married.
NO, not even planning to anytime soon - I said.
How about you- I asked.
Not yet but very soon I will - he said.
So, love or arrange? - I asked
Love, off course - he replied.
Wow!!! That's even better- I said.
You know that's in blood of every human, the moment you know the atom you would want to know the cell and so on and so forth and I was no different. Moreover since love marriages are not as common in India as it is in west; there is always a story full of drama, love story and tragedies. Someone has rightly said that we are a country which worships the love of god, we recite and celebrate the love stories of god in every home but when the same love and affection sprouts in our own home we don't waste time in becoming a devil for them. The most important thing in love stories is the zeal and energy and hence I can say that love is such an strong antidote that it can heal any wounds or can control any affect within its range.
Anyways, would you like to throw some light over it- I asked?
Sure but you would have to believe me- he said
Do I have a choice? – I asked
Hummmm not really – jokingly he replied.

And then he agreed to share some squeeze moments with me and I was equally excited as him.
I met Sony on a street light – Rohan started the story.
Wow!!! That’s interesting – I said.
Rohan – yeah!!! As usual I was going to my office on my new bike is when I stopped at a traffic red light. 120 seconds was counting on descending order -  god knows who has made them, anyways I was counting the seconds is when I noticed a heard of few ladies (transgender) knocking at the glass panels of every window of the car and asking for money. This is probably an usual seen of almost every city. What struck me is the beauty of one of them, who actually did not look like those ladies. That lady came to me and asked for money, I took my helmet off and just kept on watching her for a while.
Paisa do na Saab - she said again.
I was so struck by her beauty, that I was lost, I kept on watching her, while she was still asking for money is when my hand slides quietly in my upper pocket and put all the money in her hand. Even I did not know what I was doing.
Wow! Story of a lost man – I said jokingly.
Yeah! Kind of – he said, mean while the attendant brought the dinner, veg for me and non- veg for Rohan. I asked the attendant to keep the dinner on the upper birth as we were already stuffed but excited about the story. So, Rohan, lets continue, alright, you seem to be more excited than me – Rohan said.
Off course after all where do you get to hear such an interesting love story?
Indeed – he said, it really is very fascinating, not because it’s mine but because it really is.
Anyways, now onwards every time I would pass from the street I would look for her but could not find her. I continued to watch out for her for probably 8 days, in fact I sometimes waited there for 30-45 minutes to see if I could get a glimpse of her but finally the wait came to an end on the 9th day. It happened to be a Sunday, I thought why not  go there today. And since it was Sunday I had all the time in the world.
So you rode all the way to the red light again – I asked in awe!!!!
Yes – he said.
Wow!!! I had heard that love can make you blind but today you proved it – jokingly I said. Anyways please continue –I said.
Rohan – all right, so you guessed it right, I drove down to the street light and parked my bike besides a tea stall near by it. I stood beside a tree, waiting for them to arrive. I would have waited there for may be 1 hour and 30 min is when I saw them on the other side of the road. I followed them, she was not visible. I waited there for few more minutes to see if she would be around but she was nowhere to be found. Going ahead and asking for her would have meant more eyes questioning me. Still I followed them without caring too much about the people, and someone has rightly said that either fall In love or fall apart.
Wow! You have become a poet, but maybe it’s like fall in line or fall apart – I said
Just when he thought of taking the pride of being called a poet is when I ruined the humor.
Rohan – you stole the show buddy – little annoyingly.
Oh not at all – I am sorry, pls carry on. That’s when I realized that he is little short tempered or probably he did not want any interruption.
I managed to convince him very soon,
Rohan – all right, so I followed them for probably 100 m and then asked one of the  by calling “suniye”.
She – are chikne – mujhe bulaya kya re ?
Rohan – yes.
She – kya hai re – kuch dega kya ?
Rohan – I gave her INR 300, I want to know something.
She – bol na re, kya janna hai tere ko, main batayegi.
Rohan  - there used to be a beautiful lady with you.
She – kaun re ? achha ! sony ki baat kar raha hai, chikne dil aa gaya kya re tera uspe.
Rohan- shayad ! milna hai mujhe use.
She – main milaayegitujhe, ye le, while she handed over the money and gave her contact number, kal sham ko call karna – she said.
Rohan – I called her in the evening and went on to visit the place where they lived. I had not seen such a horrendous place before, I was already in the red light area. I called her again to check if we can meet somewhere else in the meanwhile I saw her waving the hand from the balcony of the first floor went upstairs. They offered me a chair to sit on ad some snacks to eat, though they whole place was smelling very bad but the room in particular was well arranged with fragrance of “itra”. I asked for her again. They all came in the room and surrounded me as if they are going to interrogate me for a crime.
Tu kya kaam karta hai  re (what do you do) – they asked – said rohan.
Rohan - I work in an IT firm, matlab naukri hai tere pass ? – they asked.
Yes – said Rohan.
In the meanwhile the leader of them all came in, probably she was listening to the conversation from besides the door. I don’t know if they had judged me already, she came in with watery eyes, held my hands and said – tu sacha aadmi hai and probably may more things.
Rohan – I was still skeptical about Sony as I was still not sure if she was a girl. Then came the moment I was waiting for, they called Sony in the room. I had never been that nervous, not even in my first interview and it was very unlike me. Slowly she came in, wearing a red Saari and escorted by two ladies besides her. They had dressed her as if I had come there with a proposal of marriage but I too had never thought of it before. I reacted as if I was muzzled, completely speechless while the ladies were throwing all kinds of jokes at me. Finally I broke my silence with “hi”, she said Namaste – in response. The head of ladies asked the troops to leave us alone for some time and they all followed. I was just looking at her and she was looking down probably on her nails or may be the mehendi she had applied on her hand. Have you done all this makeup for me – asked rohan. She nodded in affirmation. I was just trying to break the silence probably because she was getting uncomfortable as I was doing nothing but watching her continuously. The every next moment I was on my knees, I proposed her for marriage, she gracefully looked at me and said that you hardly know me and moreover my background is such that I would not be accepted by anyone in your family either – she said. Don’t you worry about that, just say yes and I will manage everything. You would be my responsibility – affirmed rohan. She looked at me with a smile on her face while she extended the plate of sweets at my side. By the way before leaving the room the ladies had told me something which was not easy for me to believe, they had found Sony on a railway station in a garbage dumps and an astrologer had predicted all this which was happening there. The astrologer had predicted that once she will turn 23 she will get a life partner and on contrary she had turned 23 just a month ago. That prediction also affirmed my belief In my decision and re-enforced my will. While I was still waiting for her “Yes” and refused to accept the sweets unless she would say yes, she herself picked a “Gulab Jamun” and put it in my mouth and said yes and ran away. I felt like I was over the moon in joy.
The ladies came in and blessed both of us and asked me about my parents if they would agree to it. I will convince them, don’t you worry now – said rohan.
I left the place after dinner and handed INR 1501 to Sony as “Shagun”.
And guess what ? I have convinced my parents for an arranged marriage but off course I too had to lie with my parents about Sony’s past, but I am happy that we are getting married next month – said rohan.
Me- WOW!!!! jio mere Sher !!!! we need more and more people like you. People with courage to go beyond mediocre thinking of our society, people who would listen to their heart and people who before changing the system are willing to change themselves. Congratulation Buddy for a prosperous future to both of you, may you become a guiding force in our society.
Well, most of us become the part of the change rather than the change. I wrote this in to my blog so that it keeps on inspiring me forever. Signing off now, Jai hind :):):)

WHEN SAVIOR TURNS DEVIL. !!!!!

One thought which used to ring in my mind superficially since childhood was :- what if all the good people, everything good around us turn into devil ? Can we imagine the kind of society we will have ? Can we imagine the atrocities of people on people ? Can we imagine the sufferings ? Off course not ! And thank god that it was just superficial thought.
But what compelled me to write this title " When savour turn into devil " is a leaf off the same book which was imagined superficially and was never actually turned into a book in the library shelves. Oh no ! Did i say library ? Well, i am sorry if I reminded people of some squeeze moments from their past which is hard to find today in this computer age. Anyways what also re-enforced my feeling is that, this saviour thing is often compared with god. Yes ! you heard right ! GOD and i am talking about none other than doctors of our society.

Again when i am writing about the doctors i would like to exclude those few who are not only dedicated to their profession but have earned respect as well. You look around and you would find patients complaining about doctors, either they were cheated with hefty hospital bills which is illegal because of inappropriate decision and prescription  of doctors or they had to spend a fortune for a miner disease / illness. There is a deliberate attempt to commercialise this profession. Doctors get a cut from multinational drug makers for prescribing their drugs to the patients. The generic drugs / medicines which usually costs far less than the multinational drugs hardly makes into the prescription. There was a time when one doctor or rather a Vaidya used to take care of all the illness for the people of several villages no matter what the illness is but today inspite of having specialised doctors for different illnesses we are falling sick and dying like chickens.

We all know that a doctor should not feel the pain of the patient else he/ she would not be able to treat the patient but i am sure unless they feel the sufferings of a patient, a patient would be nothing for them but a body given for practice.

I have come across many incidents in my life  where life was betrayed over money. At times I found life so incompetent that it could not last for few more minutes or seconds to see the money arriving to rescue life. We have heard this many a times that  the only religion of a doctor is to treat their patients without defining the caste, creed, religion or faith but maybe things have changed a bit. Haste has replaced caste, greed has replaced creed and delusion has replaced religion but faith has remained faith and only transformed from noble to ignoble. What also surprises me is the fact that these doctors are turning out to be an authorised paid killers in our society, at times i have also felt that we pay doctors for our own oppression and merciless deaths.

What could transform them back to their noble profession is not mere speeches or thoughts but an strict action against all the doctors who are involved in such heinous crimes. It is our responsibility as well to be alert and highlight such incidents in public and to the concerned authorities and also keep a track of the proceedings. This will definitely bring the expected change in the society and hence our beautiful country India.
Cheers !!!!!!!!

Cleanliness --- A Tool To Gain Respect !!!!!

Talking about cleanliness is more like talking about your soul, your unstated thought, need and an undermined expectations. We all expect our society to be cleanest but when it comes to sharing of responsibilities then we all expect a leader to be born in our neighborhood. You talk about any great personalities and you would find cleanliness common among almost all of them. Some had expressed their feelings for the society to be clean, some had made cleanliness a way of living a respectable life.

When Mr. PM pitched to the people of the nation to not only aspire but to get engaged towards this national cause, very few could understand the notion. But when he himself pulled the broom, the nation followed. People started pouring in ideas to keep India Clean. Some ideas were so innovative that the whole world followed and some were shared with experience. We literally saw people participating, and thanks to media as it was not possible to take it to every corner of the country without their contributions.

But how could cleanliness earn you respect ? Let me share a live example from my surrounding which I noticed while i was standing in my balcony. There were two people who used to come and pick the garbage every day from the surrounding. One of them named (Rehaan) a Bangladeshi from his origin used to come wearing a tattered clothes and dust all over his body with sleepers which was rubbed off completely. I knew his name because one day when he came to pick the garbage i had asked his name and my landlord had told me that they are Bangladeshi's. Now there was another guy named ( Pintu) who used to come with clothes all clean wearing sports shoes and a watch, not so expensive but a good looking one.

The impression they both left on the society was just opposite to each other, i never saw or heard people calling (Rehaan) either by his name or 'Bhai' or 'Beta' or 'Bhaiya' etc instead people used to say 'Oye' or 'Arre' or 'Oye Ladke' etc where as in (Pintu's) case it was just opposite, i never saw or heard people calling 'Arre' or 'Oye' or 'Oye Ladke' etc instead they used to call him either by his name or 'Bhaiya' or 'Beta' or 'Bhai Saab' respectfully without even looking at the job he was doing. We as a nation still lacks the will to accept the respect for a job no matter what but i am happy to see and say that being a human we respect cleanliness. It's a human tendency to respect something you like. We as a nation still have to go miles to achieve a clean society with respect as its bi-product.
